Overview

As a member of the Program Management Office, the Project Manager will be tasked with developing detailed project plans that capture interdepartmental activities from project initiation through project completion for the development programs. The Project Manager will work with program management team members to ensure alignment of multiple development program schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed Gantt charts and identify, report, and document changes to the project.
  • Monitor day-to-day aspects of project and scope with little to no supervision.
  • Attend cross-functional team meetings to monitor the timelines and budgets associated with the project deliverables.
  • Monitor project budgets and/or revenues, including reforecasting; review the appropriate financial reports to identify and report any variances.
  • Monitor the scope of the projects and identify and report on potential changes that may have an impact to quality, time or cost.
  • Work independently to lead the cross-functional teams to identify project issues and the development of risk mitigation strategies and implementation plans; recognize problems, evaluate alternatives and recommend solutions.
  • Develop and deliver engaging, informative and well-organized presentations.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of Project Management experience
  • 5+ years of experience in the Biotechnology or Life Science industry
  • Technical degree in Engineering or science fields preferred; advanced degree in science or business is preferred
  • Experience working with CMC or clinical development teams preferred
  • Ability to work in a fluid environment and foster a strong collaborative spirit
  • Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships
  • Solid judgement with ability to make good decisions
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong knowledge of project management tools/software (Microsoft Project or Smartsheet), and digital solutions
