  • Overview

    Reporting into the Director, Human Resources, the Sr. Human Resources Generalist will act as liaison between employee and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, HR best practices and regulations in a fast-paced environment.  This individual will play a key role in the success of the organization by providing support for a variety of highly complex Human Resources activities including performance management, recruitment, benefit administration, compensation, compliance and employee relations.


    •Manage the annual performance management and compensation process for assigned departments
    •Independently work with managers, directors and executives in the recruitment/interview process and on-boarding of new employees
    •Implement and administer employee policies
    •Counsel employees concerning complex work-related problems and conduct termination interviews, providing feedback to management when necessary
    •Write and/or update position descriptions, benefit brochures and policies
    •Conduct research and analyze data on assigned projects including compensation and benefit packages
    •Support the Human Resources Department in implementing programs to help improve the employee experience
    •Develop and conduct training programs 
    •Formulate compensation objectives, human capital goals, performance management, personnel policies and procedures
    •Prepare correspondence for the HR Department 
    •Work independently and with minimal guidance from HR Director
    •May supervise the work of a junior level HR Associate or Administrator
    •Perform other duties as assigned


    •Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field.  Master's Degree and/or PHR or SPHR Certification a plus
    •Minimum of 8 years experience in Human Resources with at least 2 years in Life Sciences
    •Expertise in Human Resources policies, procedures and Labor Laws
    •High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook a must.  Knowledge of Visio a plus 
    •Solid expertise prioritizing, multi-tasking, and performing assignments with minimal supervision
    •Contribute as a collaborative team member with excellent organization skills, attention to detail and strong sense of urgency and follow through
    •Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and telephone communication skills
    •Ability to handle confidential employee information with discretion and good judgment 
    •Experience with HRIS software preferable
    •Present a professional, approachable and pleasant demeanor
