  • Overview

    Maintains quality standards for medical devices and pharmaceutical products by performing quality control inspections and testing. Documents and communicates inspection results to manager and project team as requested.

    Responsibilities

    •Inspect/test incoming raw materials, components, intermediates and finished product in accordance with SOPs, specifications, and related documents
    •Aliquoting of raw materials for testing in accordance with requirements
    •Shipping raw materials samples to contract laboratories for outsourced testing
    •Interact with manufacturing department to ensure inspections are completed in a timely manner
    •Generate non-conforming material reports and/or deviations as required
    •Communicate inspection issues to manager and other quality team representatives
    •Create new inspection methods and suggest improvements to existing inspection methods
    •Perform additional quality duties as assigned
     

    Qualifications

    •College degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
    •2-5 years of experience in medical device or pharmaceutical industry
    •Working knowledge of GMPs as applicable to medical devices and pharmaceutical products
    •Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    •Strong communication skills
    •Computer literacy, proficiency in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
    •Familiar with quality measuring instruments: calipers, pipettes, balances, microscope, vision systems, Instron, glovebox, etc.
    •Experience working in clean room preferred
    •Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
